Film: Dishyum & some similarities

Film: Dishyum; It’s a simple story but affected me. Few things said in the film holds good to me in my personal life. The hero of the film would fall in love with the heroine (obviously without which the tamizh film industry can’t make a film). The heroine is just a freaky girl will be easily going with any of the boys but wont fall in the trap of love.

Similar to me the hero is straight forward guy (sorry that’s the fact, I am not blowing my own trumpet. I know few of my friends would jump as NTPK. I can hear them now even before they could read this blog :P). The hero does not wish to declare the heroine as friend when he has already knows that he has some crush or love interest. I too had some one in recent past, where I dint wish to add some one as my friend, but added her as ‘interested’ in crush list. But the fate is only if she too adds my name in crush list, each other can view our interest. I don’t deny the existence of friendship growing into love/crush. But I strongly feel, when I know for sure that I had an interest in a girl, I would never take shelter in the name of friendship and then declare love.

Few of the dialogues were bit catchy and to an extent they were true to some. Now don’t get confused with the girl I spoke before with the dialogues. There is absolutely no link to the character of the girl in the film and in my life. It’s just the concept that the hero carried in the film made an impact.

Some notable dialogues (I don’t remember the exact wordings but its something similar)

A small intro to the story for those who have not seen the movie… The hero is a stunt master in film industry and is known for taking high risk. He attempts to help his friend with normal stuff to create a good image to buildup an image before his girl (the heroine). The heroine finds the truth and somehow she develops a friendship with the hero. The hero finds that heroine takes care of him, and since he has not experienced such care, he asks if she would marry him. She denies. Both continue to be friends after a small tussle, but the hero couldn’t concentrate in his job. He understands his love towards her but thinks if he marries someone else, he can forget this girl and start concentrating in his job. Now the heroine declares that If the love that has blossomed in you also blossoms in me, I would not care about anything but would marry you”. I strongly believe in that concept. Even if I propose, I would wait until the girl also has such a feeling on me. It would be same when some one proposes me. (Again I hear my friend shouting NTPK: P). Back to the movie…. The hero wish to wait until such a thing happens to the heroine. Meanwhile the heroine’s father gets to know the love affair the hero has over his daughter. Hold on…, the heroine’s father is a nice man and not a villain. When heroine’s father asks the heroine that if she too loves the hero, the heroine vacillate in her decision. The heroine says that she could accept the hero as he is when she thinks him as a friend but she could not accept him as such when she thinks as a life partner as she has lot of dreams about her Man. The heroine’s father smiles and says, these days girls doesn’t look at the heart but they get fooled by the perceptible things or they only want that. They want the guy to be modern with the latest gadget and a wealthy guy. At the end when the heroine is set to marry another guy, and when the heroine has a feeling to see the hero, the other guy would say that he doesn’t mind her seeing the hero before marriage but would take her to speak in lone. There he would ask her if she is/was in love with him. And after little conversation, he would say, It’s true that guys take advantage in the name of friendship express his love to her. In the same way girls take advantage in the name of friendship to express their disinterest. Which I feel is true to an extent.

Hey I can hear you asking (Again NTPK)… what happened to the person whom I added in crush list… she got engaged with a guy… thanks to bronze (bronze is my friend. I give nick names with some idiotic logic, I give some wildest nickname, to name a few, Pepsi, close-up, gold flake, 151, 100, street cat, dip tea, visual basic etc…) for saying me the info that the girl is getting engaged… before I could develop anything. I added her as my friend after that for all practical reasons.

  2. pushy i would humbly say iam not gifted.

    There is a saying...

    loving a person is good...
Accepting the love a person has on u is accepting a gift....
loving the person who loves u is virtue...
loved by the person whom u love is a boon....

    I was in "good" position

  3. I don't know any thing about the movie...but please be clear... love isn't about gifted or not...it's a chemitry...and your chemistry is somehow non receptive to her...move on
And to pushkala and hari..just because a person can write to express his/herself or feeling..that won't make he/she a gifted person...but it can make a heart broken a poet :) in love, if you aren't the right candidate...non word is gonna save your wit end or change your luck ...stop insult the lady who has it and want nothing to do with it..very poor manner.

  4. Hi Kim,

Well I am not sounding defensive, but help me understand where I have been Insulting the lady.

Please refer to the comments I have responded to pushkala's comment. However, that comment is not true any more because, i am no more fitting into any of the category in that saying...
